Quelle fut la dernière demeure d’Aristote ? - Valeurs actuellesEn France, le lien entre Marx et Aristote a été admirablement mis en exergue, avec une grande rigueur méthodologique et une dimension politique assumée et fondamentale dans deux ouvrages, l’un de Denis Collin et l’autre de Michel Vadée. L’aspect politique, nous le définissons comme étant la façon dont les auteurs s’engagent dans des débats existant dans le mouvement ouvrier, et répondent à une distorsion de l’œuvre de Marx qui aboutit à des impasses stratégiques, ou qui comporte des conséquences néfastes pour l’action consciente des masses en vue de construire un mouvement révolutionnaire. La position politique interprétant l’oeuvre de Marx comme étant un déterminisme économiciste trouve un riche matériau dans le rapport qu’elle entretient avec Aristote. Ce dernier est en effet fondamental dans la saisie de concept centraux à une théorie déterministe: causalité, effet, loi, modalité, possible, etc.
